Today we recorded a brief video of our farm house in Curahuasi
(this was done prior to moving out a bunch our furniture which we have sold, as
we prepare to return to Australia for our first furlough on 21 April, 2019
after almost 3 years in Peru).
We hope you enjoy this glimpse into our home life in
Curahuasi these past 26 months.
Blessings,
Chris, Sandi and clan
Amazing Chris, just don't know how you do it. Did you clone Sandi or something? She seems to be everywhere in this video!
ReplyDeleteHi Matt,
DeleteHey great to hear from you. As for cloning Sandi - hmmm, I could say that I built my version of Doc Brown’s DeLorean time machine and used that. But unbelievable as there is no way to get our Chinese Foton K1 16 seater van up to 88 mp/h needed to activate the flux capacitor :) especially after the recent rain we have had the front yard is a bog here. Cheers, Chris
Nice work in the main bathroom I love the green tiles and why is there water running round the house. Alan M
ReplyDeleteHi Alan,
DeleteThanks for the compliment on the green tiles, although I cannot take the credit as they were original with the house. I think most things in Peru are about 50 years behind Australia :).
And regarding the water running around the house - this is an agricultural water channel. They are very common in rural Peru as it is a hand down farming method from the Incas. Ours feeds the farms in our area. They put some big rocks in the open channel to make a gate where the water then runs into carefully crafted parallel gullies dug in the fields about a metre apart. It is what the farmers must do in the dry season when they don't have money or energy for water pumps and sprinkler irrigation.
Blessings to all the Moran family, Chris
